The Older Sister Season Finale

Season 1, Episode Final

Juan POV

The cold spring breeze sweeping through my hair felt like a rose's kiss. I could smell the ground, which makes me nauseous. I take a sip of my whisky-laced orange juice. It had a stronger whiskey flavor than orange juice.

I could smell the roses and other flowers that were lined up in the small garden in the midst of the earthy air. I was currently seated outside on the backyard patio. I couldn't bear the thought of remaining in the house.

Staring at the garden makes me think of my mother. I remember my mother gardening when I was younger. Every day, she would plant a large number of flowers. I could see tears in her eyes all the time, but when she looked at me, she always managed to smile. She bottled it up till she couldn't anymore.

Flashbacks...

"Mama, this is stupid. We're just here, roasting in the sun." I whined, kicking the dirt.

"Well, you won't be playing with those lads either. Remember, you're grounded." She continued to dig the shovel deeper into the black dirt. Every week, I was basically grounded. It was either from fighting in school or shop lifiting with those same boys.

"I didn't say I wanted to go play with those stupid boys." I wanted to play with them, but she claimed they weren't the ideal company for me. While my father believed they were. He advised me to hang out with boys to learn the ins and outs of the streets.

"Does this make you happy, mama?"

As the sun blazed down on us, she gazed up at me with squinting eyes. "Yes, Juan, and one day you'll find something you adore and cherish."

The End of the Flashback...

My teeth gritted as I remembered. That was my least favorite aspect of my days. I despise recalling those basic recollections. They made me feel something I strive so hard to suppress every day. "Hey." Elena's gentle words reverberated in my ears.

I could feel my spirit rising. I didn't even look at her as she sat in front of me. That's what I've been doing for the past week. I kill people for sport, but I feel terrible for a lady who loses her first child—she's more than just a woman; she's the lady I love.

Her silky fingers entwined around mine, and I felt my body being transported to heaven. Her hands are incredibly soft, like if they were made of cushions. I kissed on each of her fingers. "Can I please have some of that?" she asked.

"It's 99% whiskey,  You're also on medication." With a smile, I responded. She laughed.

"Are you feeling okay, Elena?" I inquired. I took a close look at her for the first time in days, and my heart skipped a few beats. She appeared to be shining; the little sun that was peaking out shone on her complexion, making her look like an angel—she's so stunning. And her stunning beauty is enhanced by the gorgeous spring dress that suits her so wonderfully.

"Carlton will be in the hospital for a while, and I am grateful for that." She mumbled. I nodded, my gaze fixed on her. I couldn't take my eyes off her. Her skin went crimson.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" With a tilt of her head, she inquired.

"How?" I rubbed little, soothing circles on the back of her hand with my thumb. I was happy she was letting me touch her.

"Like I am the only girl in the world." She blushed Because she was the only female I cared about in the world. She was the only female I'd ever see. She was the only girl whose made my heart skipped a beat.

"I wanted to thank you again for saving my life, and I apologized for the way I treated you and—"

"It's all right, Princesa. There's no need to thank me. There is no need for an explanation." I kissed the back of her hand, and she slowly rose and moved between my legs. I pressed her hand to my chest, and her next hand caressed my face, her touched  felt like paradise valley.

When our gazes met, it felt as if the world had stopped—and perhaps it had. Our faces were so close that I thought I was dreaming.

"When I say thank you, I mean it like this, Juan." Her eyes fluttered close, and her lips parted and met mine. I gasped, closing my eyes and sensing her gentle lips on mine. My heartbeat quickened, and I'm sure she could feel it.

Her lips moved against my frozen ones. This was the most memorable kiss I'd ever received. It wasn't lust or irrational want; we weren't drunk; it was pure love kissed. I eventually overcame my paralysis and began to move my lips.

My tongue crept inside her mouth and began to explore it. I love how we were slowly dancing with our tongues as the world came to a halt, but we needed breath, and I wish we didn't—how I would kiss her for hours if we didn't. She rubbed her forehead against mine, and her hair formed a curtain to separate us from the world; it truly felt like we were on our own planet, isolated from everyone.

"Thank you so much for saving my life, Juan." She slowly pulls away from me. I should have made my move here, but I was so engrossed in that kiss that I couldn't. I remained there watching her as she slowly went away. Her head turned and she smiled at me.

Instead of me, the soul was driving me to get up and rush after her, to tell her how much I love her, how much I would kill for her, how much I would jump out of my skin to get her—my soul was practically clawing for her. But my body just leaned back on the chair, and my eyes followed her into the house. That's when I mumbled it.

"Te amo Elena."
